Welcome to First Steps Pre-school. We are a lively, forward-thinking pre-school in Long Marston, just outside Tring. Our sessions run 9am-3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Our team and committee are committed to providing your child with the safe, caring and nurturing environment that they need to grow and learn through play for the best possible start.

Here are a few things you need to know about the pre-school:

• Our latest Ofsted rating in December 2016 was 'Good'.

• We are members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS).

• Children are welcome to join us between the ages of 2 and 5, which means they usually stay with us until they start mainstream school or nursery. 

• We are registered for Free Early Education funding for 15 hours of childcare per week, which is available to all children from the term after their third birthday, and accept funding for eligible 2 year olds. We also accept Free Early Education for 30 hours of childcare a week for qualifying children.

• First Steps Pre-school is governed by a Chairperson and a committee, all parents of children who attend the pre-school. There are lots of opportunities to get involved.
